This is my Mockingjay.
I was changed after reading the Hunger Games series. I read them while the revolutions were happening in the middle east, and after reading these books throughout the day then seeing the footage of the revolutions on the nightly news, they became so much more real to me. The characters I pictured as I read were modeled after people I really knew, and I felt for them like they were real, too. I cried for them, felt hopeful, was angry at their stupid decisions, and worried when they went away. I guess I can say this for many other books that I’ve read, but none have weighed as heavily on my heart as the Hunger Games trilogy has.
Suzanne Collins, here’s to you. You wrote a series that both broke my heart and gave me hope that not all Young Adult fiction has to be about vampires and young, stupid girls being hopelessly in love. I’ve had friends tell me that as they read the books, they pictured me as Katniss and my little sister, Hannah, as Prim. That’s the biggest compliment to me. I’m really proud to bear this Mockingjay on my skin for the rest of my life.

Mr. Feeny: Believe in yourselves. Dream. Try. Do good.
Topanga: Don’t you mean ‘do well’?
Mr. Feeny: No. Do good.
Boy Meets World tattoo. Instant winner.
It’s quite simple really. “For the love of travel”
Ever since I was a little girl, I have been obsessed with travel. At the age of thirteen I was lucky enough to have traveled through every country in Asia.

This is my second tattoo, Epona’s song from Zelda: Ocarina of Time. It’s on my right wrist. I intend to have a music themed sleeve on my right arm one day. I wanted a Zelda tattoo and when I decided on Epona’s song, I figured it would be able to fit into a music themed sleeve since it is a song. Zelda was THE game I played during childhood. Nintendo 64, all day.
Ashley Smith from No Regrets Tattoo in Oklahoma City is my artist. She’s incredible. I have another appointment with her for the 13th. Stoked to get some more ink
Omfg thank you

First tattoos. My big brother and I used to play The Legend of Zelda together all the time when I was little, and I still love it to this day. So I got the triforce and the sheikah symbol as both a tribute to my childhood and my love for LOZ. :’)

Awesome!!
I am a very girly girl with many dorky and typically boyish obsessions. Since elementary school Star Wars has been one of them. And yes, I do truly believe that R2D2 was completely responsible for the success of the Rebel Alliance. Done by Dave Gutkowski who now works at Tailor Made Tattoo in Madison, WI. Check out my other tattoo done by him here
This is fucking beautiful.
I’d been thinking about getting a Star Wars-inspired tattoo for years, and once I saw Greg Peltz’s Victorian Star Wars paintings awhile back I knew that was it for me. It was inked by Russ Abbott at Ink & Dagger Tattoo Parlour in Decatur, Ga. C-3P0 never looked so classy!
My Star Wars tattoo. My grandpa and I used to watch Star Wars every time I would come to visit when I was little and I grew up loving it and became a HUGE fan. Its a big part of my life. This tattoo was done by the wonderful Jennifer Seigfried at Downtown Tattoo in Zanesville, Ohio.
That is a badass design. High five mate.
